OB appointments every week now.

Today was quick and easy. Sort of. Damn those internal evaluations hurt like crazy. Of course I'm sure they hurt a lot less than childbirth so I better suck it up.

Same old, same old though. Everything on my end was fine. The babies had good heartbeats and are still head down. Jacob has descended into my pelvis so the doc figures I'll pop within the next two weeks; around week 36 or 37. That works for me. Strangely Jacob is now in the lead position. Ava was supposed to be baby A for the first 7 months or so, then they suddenly switched (both the doc and the ultrasound tech were incredibly surprised) so now Jacob will be the big brother. The big surprise of the appointment was that I was up 7 pounds in two weeks. Huh. After she looked at everything though (I'm actually eating less since my appetite is disappearing) she said it was fine. There's probably 2 more pounds of babies, 1-2 pounds of boobs (DAMN they hurt), and I'm retaining water like a sea cow so probably little to no actual mommy fat gain.

And bringing back the subject of things no one bothered to ever talk about, why oh why wasn't I warned that my breasts could hurt this much?? I was told it would be excruciating once the babies were born and my milk came in, but no one said anything about the incredible leaking and pain that I would have weeks before the babies even came out! Gah! It's something I would have liked to have a little warning about you know?

Ugh. Not too much longer though. I'm placing my bet on the first week in June.
