8 weeks old!

Funny how time flies when you're going nonstop. Ava is the top pic and Jacob is the bottom. It's amazing how much they've changed in 8 short weeks.

Some answers to questions I've gotten:

1. The epidural was wonderful. It didn't hurt at all to get it, but all it did was lessen the pain - it didn't take it completely away.

2. Morphine is awful (I got it after the c-section). I will now list it as an allergy even though it isn't. I don't ever want to be given that stuff again.

3. Yes, my legs and feet swelled up so badly I looked like I was diabetic. I'm talking shiny skin because there was so much fluid buildup. However elevating your feet above the level of your heart does work. Forget just laying on the couch - really jack those legs up!

4. Every woman is different, but here's my weight loss (please don't compare yourself to me): week 1 -25lbs, week 2 -39lbs, week 4 -52lbs, week 6 -57lbs, week 8 -69lbs. I gained only 38lbs being pregnant, but I was toting about 30 extra pounds to begin with.

5. I tried breastfeeding (lord how I tried), but my supply never came in. Go figure.

6. I don't know if taking care of twins is harder than a single baby since I'm not in that situation. However I don't feel stressed or exasperated. It feels completely manageable and I'm going to miss them something terrible when I go back to work.

Tomorrow is the first immunization appointment for these two and I go back to work the day after. Good times.
