Yesterday was a quickie visit to the OB. A quick check of weight (I'm up a very normal 14 pounds), blood pressure, and a tummy measurement and I was sent off to the lab for a thyroid check (I take meds for hypothyroidism and pregnancy usually requires some dosage adjustments), and the maternal serum AFP test. This is another test for Down's Syndrome and neural tube defects. I'm guessing I'll get the results in a week or so. I'm not too worried about anything since I've been taking my prenatal vitamins religiously (before and after conception), and the numerous scans I've had haven't shown anything abnormal.
Another ultrasound (an anatomy scan) on Monday. More pictures! Time is just flying by and it's hard to believe that I'm about half-way to delivery of these two.
